About Rising Phoenix: Rising Phoenix is a family style organization. Meaning we are all good friends, with great respect for each other.
Language: You may not use any foul, offensive or otherwise inappropriate language in guild chat (GC). This also includes any form of harassment. This will be strictly enforced. Breaking this rule may lead to your immediate removal from the family.
Respect: Show respect for other players, especially in the GC. If you have a problem with another member, take it to tells. If it gets into the GC an officer will get into it, and that can be very serious. Also, be sure to say "Hello", "Good bye" etc. whenever appropriate.
Interaction withing the family: No begging, in GC or in tells. If people are busy and say so, respect this. If we are able to help we will say so. If not work on it yourself, until such time as someone is free to help. Be willing to help others as well.
Applicants: Every new addition to the family is required to undergo a 30 day probation period prior to becoming full members. After this time you will be promoted to Member at the earliest convenience, unless circumstances dictates otherwise. Should you not wish to complete your probation period, you are free to do so without explanation (although we may ask, you are not required to answer).
Members: As a family member, you are allowed to open up a shop in our market building (provided you own the Alien Invasion expansion). You are also eligible for small loans from the organization bank, if such a loan is deemed necessary. This is mostly used to help young players acquire a Yalmaha.
Promotions: Promotions come about by showing willingness to be part of the family, and helpful to the family. It has nothing to do with length of time within the guild, except for the applicant period of 30 days. Veterans are chosen by the body of officers. Advisors are named by the President, usually with the approval of the Veterans, but this is not required. The President respects the Veterans opinions. They have offices of responsibility, and can more readily recognize others with the qualities to lead.
Tower Battles: If you are interested in getting involved in Tower Battles, any character you use for this must be in the organization armada. This is so our own towers do not get opened for attack. Note: At the present we do not own any towers, so this rule is not enforced.
Tax & Commissions: The current organization tax is 5000 credits. This will be automatically drawn from your account every 2 playing hours. Should you have any problems paying this, just let an officer know, and we will gladly help you out. The commission for player shops is at 1%. This means 1% of every credit you earn by selling items through your shop goes to the organization bank.
Family gatherings: We have Family Meetings every week. Sunday 12 noon PST, 19:00 GMT. They are not mandatory for applicants or members, but you are encouraged to attend. If you are online and not in the middle of something, it is rude not to be with the family for this meeting. If you have things you need to do, or want to do, they will be considered much more readily when discussed at this time. In other words if you make time to come speak with us about things to do, or concerns, that shows you care, and will help us want to be more interested in arranging things that will help all.
